Quotes
That is why for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - 1 Corinthians 12:10
Be careful, lest in fighting the dragon you become the dragon - Nietzsche
But God is up in heaven.
And He doesn't do a thing
With a million angels watching
And they never move a wing
It's God they ought to crucify
Instead of you and me
I said to this carpenter
A-hanging on the tree
- Sidney Carter

Grumpy Lorna
Ah drunken depressed rambling housemates shouting at 3 in the morning. It's exam time, technically I could call Campus Watch at have them fined £50... but I won't.

Flash help
Hey you Flash genuises, I'm a fair way through my flash movie now but I have a problem. The movie is made up of about 8 scenes, and at the end of each scene I have actionscript that says nextScene(); but it only moves to the next scene on the first two scene. So basically it stops on the 3rd scene and doesn't move on, I don't understand why it works on the first two but not on the 3rd. I'm wondering whether it has anything to do with what layer I put the actionscript on? I don't know, though I've tried it on every layer. It must be something small, any ideas?

thanks!

Which book?
Hey guys! It's been a few weeks. I wanted to ask your opinion. I want to get my friend one of these 'design your own cover' books that Penguin have released, but I don't know which title to go for (not Emma).

So was wondering has anyone on my flist read...

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Magic Tales by Brothers Grimm
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
The Waves by Virginia Woolf

If you've read any of them please let me know what you think because I don't know which book to buy him. Thanks!

Mumble Mumble
So it's been a while. Not because I havn't been around, but because I havn't felt like updating. Not so sure what to say, not so sure if anyone's listening - or if that should bother me. That's not a pity cry for comments, just an acknowledgment that things have moved on and I haven't put the effort in in a long time to keep relationships going.

I'd like to revive this journal a bit more, making it a bit more a journal, more of a place where I can write. But we will see whether that actually happens! Anyways just so you know I am still reading my flist, just for once finding I have very little to say!!

I've been a bit weird lately in general, a bit up and down. Which is v. unusual for me. The words that were spoke over me last year constantly were 'solid', 'steady', 'consistant' etc. So not to be those things is very unsettling for me.

Anyways in more exciting news, I've set up a DeviantArt account and actually uploaded some art there, you can find me under lornyloo86.

In other news...
- Have you too been gripped by the iPhone fever? Seriously everyone I know is watching this launch video and welling up with proud tears. I'm not saying I wasn't impressed. But my favourite thing had to be when John Mayer said that 'it's like the opposite of terrorism'. The 'it' being the iPhone.... steady there John, it is still just a phone, it's not actually the secret to world peace.

The iPhone... fighting terrorism for America

I joke, but the iTank is probably in design stages as I speak...
